GE improving efficiency and reliability in San Luis Obispo
Oct. 24, 2019
The city uses iFIX HMI/SCADA from GE Digital to increase operator efficiency and improve reliability to serve residents and businesses with clean, safe water.
The City of San Luis Obispo’s Water Department consists of five divisions that move water to and from the city. The city was managing its water divisions in siloed systems that weren’t capturing all the necessary data needed on how the water equipment is running. The systems also did not include any alarming or trending capabilities, so the city often relied on its customers to notify them of any issues. By employing GE Digital solutions, the City was able to increase operator efficiency and improve reliability, as it serves residents and businesses with clean, safe water with Predix HMI/SCADA’s iFIX solution.
